Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Dr. D’Amore brings over 20 years of surgical experience and a lifetime of artistic pursuits to contour the abdomen. She listens closely to the patient’s concerns, and recommends the operation which will best achieve those results. By incorporating diet and exercise into the postoperative recovery, she strives to optimize and maintain those results.
Dr. D’Amore uses body contouring through liposuction as a very artistic endeavor, which strives to spot reduce or contour fatty areas of the body that are out of proportion to the rest of the body. This procedure may be used alone or in conjunction with some form of skin tightening operation for optimal results. Liposuction can be performed safely on most parts of the body and is commonly used to contour the thighs, abdomen, arms, hips/waist, back, and chest.
The arms can be sculpted through liposuction or loose skin tightened through incisions that are strategically hidden in the relaxed pose. Many times a combination of the two techniques are required to achieve the best results.
“… I love my new arms! Truly, I cannot believe they are mine- I look at them and touch them so much! Thank you both for making my experience and outcome so pleasant. My expectations were exceeded!”
Male Breast (Gynecomastia)
Breast development in men is most often a consequence of heritable traits or weight gain, although there are some medical conditions which need to be ruled out by your primary care provider before surgery. The operation to reduce the male breast is dependent on the extent of breast tissue development and skin laxity. Dr. D’Amore will review the surgical options at the time of your consultation. Many times the procedure involves both liposculpting and direct tissue removal to achieve the optimal result.
The issues most commonly presenting on the back involve excess back fat, particularly problematic in the bra strap area for women and skin laxity after massive weight loss. Both of these issues can be addressed through surgery involving liposuction and/or direct skin excision depending on the extent and degree of each deformity. Dr. D’Amore will discuss your specific concerns and make a recommendation based on her extensive experience in this area.
